About James “Jim” Jackman
James “Jim” Jackman brings not only extensive legal expertise but also a genuine commitment to helping people regain control of their lives and businesses. With a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Akron and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Jim has built a career dedicated to supporting those facing financial challenges. Since opening his private practice, he’s concentrated on representing individuals and small businesses in Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and small Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, as well as handling foreclosure defense, probate matters, wills, and healthcare documents.
Jim’s approach is simple and grounded: he listens, cares, and focuses on solutions. Outside the office, Jim has been an active member of the Kiwanis Club for nearly two decades and has volunteered extensively as a coach for youth and high school sports, from soccer to varsity football. He has also served on the Board of Trustees at the school his sons attended, showing his commitment to community and family. When he’s not working, Jim can be found enjoying college sports or spending quality time with his wife and sons.
